Hi all! I’m exploring the idea of applying to Shark Tank. Has anyone here gone through the process or know companies that have been on the show? Any tips on getting in touch with the right people or making the pitch stand out would be super helpful!
Extra info: we’re launching in the U.S. and want to build a foothold there, with boots on the ground and strong visibility right from the start. Moonbird and moonbuddy help people (and kids) sleep and relax better through guided breathing. It’s simple, science-backed, and resonates with everyday families, a good fit for a mass audience like Shark Tank’s I believe! 😍
Hi! My friend Charlie Greene was on Shark Tank! Let me know if helpful for an intro 🙂
I have a client (Megan Klein/LITTLE SAINTS) who was on, too. You could try reaching out to her, too. (She’s AWESOME but waiting a few weeks might be best…)
I got selected but I ultimately declined to do the show as the audience of Shark Tank was not really aligned with our products.. I think there's definitely value in doing it if you're not there to raise money and your products have a wide appeal!
This was years ago so I don't have the contacts anymore.
For the pitch I'd really try to make something original and catchy and would really recommend having a coach that helps you "be on camera"
@Kelleigh Whelan I would LOVE an intro! I'll DM you!
@adam wilkins Followed up in DM!
<@U096XUK1Z6W> Thanks for the tips! If anything else comes to mind, please let me know 🙏. How do you get selected? You went to the auditions? You applied online, or you got contacted by them?
I was on Shark Tank @Stefanie Broes happy to help however I can
Late to the party, but happy to chat. Shark Tank reached out to my company to be on the show about 3 years ago. The day before we were supposed to fly out, they cut us! If helpful, happy to talk about the prep and the process.
