I need some perspective from the parents here.
I came into this group since I’m building a longevity resort in Asia (still ongoing… and slow 😅) but additionally, I have started my health coaching business focusing teen health and performance.
Contrary, I’m not a parent, but more like a “big sis”. A lot of the parents come to me because there’s been a rift happening between the avoidant teen and the anxious parent, and so a mediator (me) usually helps.
I’m trying to figure out if this is actually a real pain point worth talking about, or if I’m projecting. Either way, I’d really value your honest take. Maybe there’s something I’m missing.
Also, I’m curious to know how the study-life balance of kids are, especially when they have parents working in the wellness space.
This might be a sensitive topic, so feel free to also DM me.
Thanks Marie! Can you be more specific about what you would like to know?
Sounds like you're asking if people are seeing rifts between teens and parents and if they think a mediator would help?
Hey @Brian Von Ancken Probably more like an open ended question. The rift is something I see, but I don’t want to just hyperfocus on that if there are other things parents feel 🙂
maybe @adam wilkins could be a good chat to start?
Happy to talk w you @Marie Tuason (thx for the tag, BVA) - I have a very moody teenager and a tween nipping at his heels - and an 8a year old ready for college. DM me and we can set up a time!
Thank you! I’ll DM you
