If anyone is willing to give us some feedback on our updated Risk Assessment Report it would be appreciated 🙏

https://goodhome.health/report-card

Our goal is to show people their risks for environmental exposures based on their zip code and warm them a bit to get on our waitlist for testing.

Open to any and all feedback!

Love stuff like this. Looking right now.

Matthew Amsden September 01, 2025 at 06:57 PM

I didn't get anything. Said a report is on it's way.
Does it take a bit? (If so, might want to say so)

Karl Nislow September 01, 2025 at 06:58 PM

It does!

Karl Nislow September 01, 2025 at 06:59 PM

Did it show up yet?

Matthew Amsden September 01, 2025 at 07:00 PM

Yes. It just did. Looking now.

Matthew Amsden September 01, 2025 at 07:01 PM

I'd say to tell people it'll take a couple of minutes. I went right to my email didn't see it and assumed something was wrong.

Karl Nislow September 01, 2025 at 07:02 PM

Yeah that's a great flag

Matthew Amsden September 01, 2025 at 07:03 PM

Otherwise, this is really great.
Radium maybe for groundwater (a big issue in the parts where I live).

Now I want the full test. 🙂

Matthew Amsden September 01, 2025 at 07:03 PM

Very interesting folks, would encourage others to take a look.

Karl Nislow September 01, 2025 at 07:05 PM

@Matthew Amsden - Any other data points you'd like to see about your address or exposure risk? We were thinking of including potential health impacts more explicitly.

Matthew Amsden September 01, 2025 at 07:09 PM

I'd want to see that for the specific home test, sure. But there's enough info here to keep me busy for a sec. Don't think I need more.

This is great! it told me everything about my zip code is terrible except maybe lead and asbestos haha. I always wonder what really could be done in NYC other than filtering air and water as much as possible. I do generally think my indoor environment probably matters a lot more given how much time I'm in here. Also maybe a comparison or some context to understand what this might mean for me/health/

I like the design too!

Hillary Lin, MD September 03, 2025 at 06:15 PM

this is the nerd in me but i wonder what the environmental results have to do with what's going on in my own body - there seems to be a pretty big disconnect sometimes between the environmental contaminants and what an individual's body is able to "detox" on its own, and I've talked to other docs who find it somewhat mysterious. Some folks who try very hard to get rid of all environmental harms still have higher tested microplastics in their body, for example.

Anyways, probably like with all matter of measurement we are still working through the R&D!

Karl Nislow September 03, 2025 at 06:24 PM

Thanks @Hillary Lin, MD always appreciate your insights! ❤️

We definitely want to layer in biological testing (genetics, nutrient status, etc.) to make this more personalized to each individual.

What’s interesting is that even with air containments like VOCs, the right filter can help, but even there the performance varies by compound. So which VOCs you’re exposed to may call for a different filter than someone else. There’s a real filter-matchmaking piece here.

Then there’s the lifestyle side. For exposures like formaldehyde, mold, microplastics, or pesticide residue, small behavioral shifts or structural changes in the home usually deliver the highest ROI.

So currently we’re trying to bring all of this together in a way that’s realistic, focused on reducing exposures without creating an unhealthy perfectionist goal. 🤞
