I sent this directly to some folks I'm sure this would be of interest to, but with all the newcomers (welcome, again!) that joined, I thought to include it here, too - Food As Medicine - upcoming event in Chicago in May

Food as Medicine Summit | May 5-6, 2026 | Chicago, IL

<@U0A0W4U7XPZ> and @David Grass are in town and maybe @Sonja Manning isn't too far? (I'm bad at geography)

hey @adam wilkins I've spoken at this summit a few times, are you attending? I can give you a ton of insight

Ellis S McCue January 16, 2026 at 09:42 PM

i will say @Brian Von Ancken this tends to be focused on the insurance reimbursable market - how retailers can support better choices in the grocery store, funding going into medically tailored meals and medically tailored groceries and how it get's paid for in the absence of bill codes, very little focus historically on how food drives results (outside of a1c modification). i would love to catalyze a change here hahaha

It's (now) on my radar and would love to know more. I will DM you <@U0A8PNREM0V> and look to set up a time. WELCOME to the Thunderdome, I mean WGM! 😜

Looks very interesting @adam wilkins -- don't think it's in my wheelhouse for events. If WGMers are attending, I'm happy to set up an informal WGM Chicago meet-up around that time. Always good to connect in IRL

This looks awesome! Currently conflicts with a team offsite but yes @Brian Von Ancken Chicago is an easy flight away I make it down there often 😆
