I was almost scammed...

As we were reaching out to investors in the health & fitness space, one of our teammates found a guy named Jonathan Miller and reached out. We had a couple of meetings, and he made us an offer (screenshot attached). Honestly, $1.5k didn’t seem unreasonable, and since he had many connections and several mutuals with me on LinkedIn, I was about to sign the contract.
But right before signing, I decided to do a bit more research, and found multiple reports from people saying they’d been scammed by him.

They actually have a fall cohort too, and in my case it was fully virtual. One student did ask to work in person, but I happened to be traveling at the time.

I recently joined a program that pays you $400 for each high school or college student you bring on as an intern for 8 weeks.

You don’t get to choose the students, so I went in with low expectations, but in our case, we hired 5 students, and most of them had some coding experience. They helped us build some internal automation tools that we still use in our daily workflows.
