Hey WGM! I'm looking for some beta testers for a new matcha product my friend Aya is developing in conjunction with researchers from NARO in Japan (which houses their Division of Tea Research).

The product they're building is a bioengineered type of tea. Allowing for all day consumption and a cortisol and HRV lowering effect.

We definitely want to layer in biological testing (genetics, nutrient status, etc.) to make this more personalized to each individual.

What’s interesting is that even with air containments like VOCs, the right filter can help, but even there the performance varies by compound. So which VOCs you’re exposed to may call for a different filter than someone else. There’s a real filter-matchmaking piece here.

Then there’s the lifestyle side. For exposures like formaldehyde, mold, microplastics, or pesticide residue, small behavioral shifts or structural changes in the home usually deliver the highest ROI.

So currently we’re trying to bring all of this together in a way that’s realistic, focused on reducing exposures without creating an unhealthy perfectionist goal. 🤞
