Anyone have a recommended paperboard packaging supplier. We've been working with someone locally but want to explore opportunities for more aggressive pricing efficiency as we grow. THX.

• there's truly nothing wrong with a slow growth patern in the black. they may not tell stories about your business in entrepreneur magazine but you'll have less stress and be in a bit more control of your destiny if you can avoid owing other people your hard earned money.
• negotiate - every financing avenue we've taken was done slowly and after a bit of back and forth. a current example is with shopify capital - (it's easy for us since they already know all our numbers) - i've been going back and forth with them for a few weeks and if i take money it'll be when i feel like hte numbers really make sense any sooner and it's a no go.
• as we've built relationships with our suppliers we've been able to negotiate better terms. Originally we were 50% down, 50% on delivery on a 14 week timeline for inventory that would last us 6 months. pretty slow payback. we're now at 15% down and terms for payment after delivery (this is after 8 years of business with our supplier though).
that's what comes to mind but happy to do a chat if it'd be helpful.

Hey <@U08MY8LTVFD> happy to chat. your situation is very very (painfully) familiar. lol. drop me an dm and we can find a time.

That said, much of what's already been mentioned seems right in line with our experience:
• financing is (imo) dangerous if you're not 1000% on your numbers. it can very quickly put you into an over extended place.

we've been doing some social listening but unsure how best to interact with reddit once we know people are using our keywords....i.e. someone talks about their recurrent yeast infection...do we respond as a brand? an individual? what's been working...

Hey <@U08HDEF4CN4> Would be happy to connect - our products are adjacent to menstrual care - infections and irritation is often correlated with timing of people's cycle. momotaroapotheca.com

@Darci happy to chat. we went back and forth for about 18 months with Ship Bob...it was a long and sort of expensive project to bring it all in house - but it's been very much worth it!

Thanks would love a Pelagic intro.

Wondering if anyone has experience building out a super efficient and effective order fulfillment system—or has ideas they’d like to share. We recently brought fulfillment for our cosmetic line in-house (happily parting ways with our 3PL). Right now, we’re navigating a growth spurt, and I’d love to tighten up our operation. Specifically, I’m looking for ways to streamline the packing process, ensure we don’t run out of materials, and improve overall efficiency.

I hope you’re doing well! I’m reaching out to see if anyone in the community has experience with scaling DTC out of plateaus. My company, Momotaro Apotheca, addresses a significant need for antibiotic and antifungal alternatives through our science-backed, plant-based femcare products. Since our beta launch, we’ve generated $2 million and have a solid 60% repeat customer rate. Now, we’re eager to take steps to scale further.

As the saying goes, “What got you here won’t get you there.” We’re looking to level up from our cash-flow-positive stage and are exploring ways to scale our operations, including fundraising. I would greatly appreciate any guidance from those in this network who have navigated this process.

I look forward to hearing from anyone with experience in this area!
